Before you begin make sure you have your radio code!
Remove the bottom footwell trim to begin the switch installation. With this piece removed you will have easy access to fish through the wiring harness. Though removal of this piece may not be necessary, I recommend it. Depending of your car, it is held on with either one or three T25 torx.

Next, you must remove the radio. Before you begin , put the car in neutral with the emergency brake on. Now place a towel over the shifter. This will protect it during the installation. To remove the radio press in on the latches below. You may need a small screwdriver to do this. Once the latches pop out, pull the radio till you have access to the stock wiring harness. You should be able to rest the radio on the gear shifter to free up your hands. Unplug the stock harness and plug it into the corresponding plug on your new switch harness. Now, plug the switch harness into the back of the radio. Once this is done find an empty place on your dash for the new switch. Once an appropriate place has been found, carefully pry out the old blank switch. Now fish the harness behind the radio to where the switch will be mounted. Plug in your switch and verify it works before you continue.

If all went well then you can snap the switch into place. Tuck any excess cable carefully behind the radio before you slide it back into place. Once the excess cable has been secured push the radio back in place and then push the latches back till you feel the radio lock in place.

With the switch successfully installed, all that is left is to reinstall the footwell trim. Make sure you line up the back retainers before you put the torx back in. The entire installation should take no more than 20 minutes.
