2/4-Channel
Mean-Machine Sound Quality Amplifiers
Mean-Machine
2 & 4-channel amplifiers are designed to be the basic building
blocks for any car audio sound system. When the time comes for stepping
up the car audio system's power, simply convert the initial 2 or
4-channel amp to a more powerful 1 or 2-channel amp by using the
“bridging” speaker wire connections. Next, buy a
second matching
Autotek amp, configured the same way, to complete the upgrade. Span all
your car audio upgrade dilemmas by using Autotek's bridgeable amplifier
designs to your advantage.
Evolution OF Power™
It's Autotek's new tag-line, which drives home the point that Autotek
has over 2-1/2 decades of successful experience as a major innovator of
upper tier, high-power car audio amplifiers. Many
car audio amp brands have come and gone. Only the best-in-class amp
designs survive this long in this very demanding product category.
Successfully meeting these grueling conditions gave birth to an Autotek
term. Road Worthy™ is Autotek's term for a car audio
amplifier design
built like a tank. There is no cutting design parameters at Autotek;
our designs use two torriod transformers vs one in our competitors
amps. This superior TCID design greatly improves noise isolation from
the vehicle's electrical system.
Cool Pro-Fi MOSFET's
Mean-Machine amplifiers feature Autotek's Pro-FiTM matched MOSFET
output devices. These high-performance output devices provide superior
sonic accuracy and reliability in HARD use.
Bass Thrust EQ
Mean-Machine amps offer an extra dose of bass enhancement with the Bass
Thrust™ EQ (variable up to 18dB of boost).
Pro-Design Crossover
Autotek's decades of car-audio amplifier design experience has resulted
in an integral professional-grade active crossover network.
Pro-Design Hi-Pass
This low-distortion, low-noise electronic crossover feature permits you
to direct the right amount of critical Mid + High-frequency musical
information to speakers best suited for midrange and treble
reproduction.
Pro-Design Low-Pass
Another Autotek low-distortion, low-noise electronic crossover feature,
this crossover feature controls the most critical Low-Frequency musical
information sent to larger speakers suited for Bass and Sub-Bass audio
reproduction.
Pro-Design Band-pass Feature
The band-pass crossover function is a more
“advanced-use” feature of
the Mean-Machine amplifiers. This Pro-Design crossover feature permits
a slice of sound in the middle of the audio spectrum to be directed at
Mid-Bass drivers or Midrange speakers.

Impact
1-Ohm Stability
Real
1-Ohm stability characteristics in a car audio amplifier are
comparable to designing a car that can withstand a 30-mph head-on
collision, without sustaining even a scratch! Electrically, a 1-Ohm
speaker load for all practical argumentation is a “Shorted
Circuit” to
the amplifier. Remember this analogy when your new Autotek Super
D-Class™ amplifier
has been pounding your 1-Ohm load DVC subwoofers, ….all
day…. and is
still cool to the touch! In addition, it may surprise you to learn,
when speakers are reproducing sound, the speakers are constantly
changing in their impedance load to the amp. This impedance fluctuation
phenomenon is dependent on the frequency of sound being reproduced.
Besides sound, a loudspeaker also generates a back electromotive force
(EMF) that flows backward into the amplifier, which can affect the NF
loop and cause IM distortion. Autotek's high-current low-output
impedance MOSFETS absorb back electromotive forces generated by the
speakers voice coil, which prevents intermodulation distortion! Autotek
Super D-Class amplifier designs bring this kind of overkill amplifier
engineering to you, at an affordable price.
