Bailey Dump Valve

This is the kind of product that is a very nice addition once you have everything else. The overall rating is low to average only because of the ridicules fitting kit that Bailey sells as a Volvo specific product.

Fit: 1
When ordering, save your money on the fitting kit. The fitting kit lacks a block-off plate for the original valve. To make things worse the adapter pipe they provide is over 15mm too small. The Bailey valve can be made to fit correctly, but it's going require a trip to a machine shop, as well as an exhaust shop to have a new adapter welded up.

Finish: 8
Despite the problems with fit, the finish on all of the pieces is impressive. Brass Ts and better hose clamps would have been nice, but are not needed. The valve itself it very well finished with a thick layer of powder coat inside and out.

Performance: 9
Once installed correctly, this valve should help alleviate some of the stress on the turbo. The sound produced by this valve is a nice subtle one. Anything over 15 psi of boost produces a nice 4 chirp sound. Without installing a block off plate the valve made little to no sound. Also worth noting is the Bailey valve is not the loudest on the market. Depending on what you are looking for, that can be a negative or positive.
