Need a way to build more boost?

Super-Duty Boost Controller/Full Race Version from Dawes

Rating: 9.5
When most people think of boost controllers,
they think of adding more boost. While this can be done with a controller,
for safety reasons I recommend an ECU as a safer approach. What people often
overlook is the spike prevention application for a MBC. If you have a larger
downpipe and an ECU combination running high boost that is prone to spikes,
a MBC may be what you need. As with any boost modifying modification extreme,
care must be used to avoid a small disaster.

Installation takes less than 30 minutes
with only common hand tools. About the only possible trouble spot, is installing
the line from the waste-gate actuator to the controller. The hose that connects
them fits very tight on the waste-gate side, due to its larger O.D. Click
here for installation instructions.
Finish: 10
The deluxe installation kit is well
worth the extra money, so you do not have to hunt for parts. If you order
the deluxe kit, you get everything you need, including T's, connectors, and
even silicone hose.

There are two reasons people buy manual
boost controllers, either more boost, or to control spiking. For information
regarding adding more boost, take a look at the Volvospeed Message Board.
You will find feedback from several people regarding Dawes MBC. Because I
did not use the MBC to add more boost, I cannot comment on that aspect. In
regards to spike prevention, this controller works very well. I used to see
spikes in the 3-4 psi range. With the controller in place, the largest I have
seen was just over .5 psi.
Note: I will publish any issues as they arise.
