Information:
The F266MQ is a turbocharger that has been
"tuned" specifically for
Volvospeed's application. The compressor has a 66mm inducer, and large
major diameter for efficient high boost operation. The MQ turbine wheel
is exclusively available from Innovative Turbo Systems and features 10
blades, inconel 713 material and highest efficiency available. The
wheel combination is optimized for spool-up and drivability. The
bearing system is our new F2 system which features numerous
improvements, including:
· Improved bearing / shaft alignment, which improves run-out
and
balance of the overall bearing cartridge and shaft/wheel assembly
· Improved dampening and operational stability, which
improves the
systems ability to handle high G load situations and ability to cope
with anti lag fuel/ignition strategies.
· Improved adaptation to thermal transients, - which allows
proper
tolerances and running clearances throughout the operational
temperature range, leading to improved durability.
· Improved bearing system-life quality – lower
life cycle cost to end user and improved satisfaction.
· Improved bearing quality – helps to quiet the
overall sound from the bearing system
· Eliminates the tolerance ring – further
improvement in durability.
· Improved materials, meaning lighter weight will further
improve
operational stability, balance of the system, offer corrosion
resistance and further improvement in adaptation to thermal growth
· Improved thrust loading compared to conventional turbos.
· Fully rebuild able, the only dual ballbearing system to
offer this.
