Overlooking the installation there is no real downside I can think of to this upgrade. For those of you who have not installed speakers before, I would definitely recommend that you have a professional shop install these. These speakers are a great investment for people looking to get more enjoyment out of their sound system.

Fit: 5
For those of you who have installed speakers before this will be what would best be called a typical installation. There is a need to drill 8 holes through the metal deck of the car. As always the hardest part is getting the holes lined up. These speakers can be flush mounted but I opted not to. The reason for that decision was I did not want to cut the rear deck. If you do not flush mount these speakers you will have to purchase 8 2.5" stainless steel screws. Due to the location you will hardly see the speakers once installed, regardless of what method you choose. (Installation Tip: Cut the factory wiring harness off the old speaker and wire it to the new ones if you are using the factory wiring. This will save you a good deal of time.)

Finish: 10
The quality of these speakers is infinitely better than that of the stock paper coned speakers. Everything from the holographic marquee logo to the gold terminals say quality.

Performance: 10
These speakers project a lot more bass, but shine the most in the mid range. The mid range is very crisp and well defined. The high range is very exceptional also, but can not be fully appreciated due to the location of the speakers. Even at high volume with the bass cranked up there is no sign of flutter from these speakers.
