These bulbs have a great deal of potential. Their improved quality of light is over shadowed by their lack or intensity.

Fit: 9
194 , 168 , 158 , 12256 , 12961 are all the same bulbs and will all work in your license plate light socket. I have heard some people state that they have not been able to find bulbs for this application except through Volvo. Anyone of the above listed bulbs should work and are built to OE standards.

The Piaa HID bulbs do produce light that is closer to white. There are many people that desire to eliminate the yellowish looking lights from their cars. These bulbs do a good job of that, but are a little on the blue side. A lot may depend on the color of the license plate in your state as well.

Performance: 4
While the light is whiter in color it lacks intensity . The bulbs almost look dim. This is odd for Piaa which is known for high quality bulbs.
