Bored Throttle Body

A throttle body should be one of the last modifications you consider. Despite this the old adage still holds true, "your only as strong as your weakest link". While you have the throttle body off, you should consider porting the intake to match the new throttle body for even more air flow.

Fit: 9
This is a direct bolt in. The only changes that may be necessary are to the set screw or and throttle rod. When installing a new throttle body always replace the gasket. Click here for installation instructions.

Finish: 8
The finish on the throttle body and plate is very good. The only flaw I was able to spot was on the throttle plate screws. They were not completely machined down. While appearing to be a very minor flaw, every flaw counts when you are at this level of tuning.

Performance: 7
While peek horsepower numbers may appear low, the under the graph hp is dramatically increased due to faster response and more low end airflow. After installing the bored throttle body, the car feels a little less like a turbo and a little more like a naturally aspirated vehicle. The off the line response feels less strained. The hp yield on this part varies widely with the previous level tuning of your car.
