95 850 Wagon Sc710 Radio Swap For Sc816

hi guys, haven't been on for a while, but always appreciate all your help. here's my dilema, my 95 850 wagon has been running great, except the radio is started to go, loss of am/fm reception (i have ck'd and resecured antenna connections on glass, also had windows tinted which i know can affect reception) and the cassette player quit working. so i thought about going aftermarket with a basic unit, but they are talking about the external amp and rewiring the car for this. so i started looking at getting a used unit. here's my question, will a sc816 unit from a 98-2000 s70 slide right into my 95 850 wagon, replacing my sc710 unit. you guys have helped me in the past and i look forward to your advice on which way i should go. thanks in advance.

In Car Wifi - Kinda...

So I'm about to leave work with a laptop full of audio I need to audition. Its in iTunes. I have the USA•SPEC iPhone adapter with aux input so I plug the laptop in but obviously the user interface is not optimized for one handed use while driving...

I have an iPhone mount that holds it at finger length, so I enabled a local wireless network on the laptop and used the Apple Remote iPhone app. to control iTunes on the laptop. This worked so well I was stunned, and it was obvious that the laptop DA converters had the iPhone well beat.

Nice to have a laptop 12V adapter and 7" SVGA touchscreen but not bad for an impromptu CarPC on a zero budget!

I see that a number of poeple on these forums are using the USA-SPEC iPod connector with varying levels of success.

Is there a solution, short of replacing my Volvo radio, that will allow me to use both the ipod and phone functions through the factory radio?

Thanks,

Want Newer Original Audio Controls On My 850

first of all, would like to say hello to everyone.

I have a problem I would like to hear with the experts: I would like to install a newer steering wheel on my 1994 850 SE, any-one of those with original volvo switches on the steering wheel for controlling the cd-player AND cruiswe control..

Problem no 1: will the steering wheel actiually fit, from ex a S80, S60, XC70 etc... How can I make it fit?

Problem no 2: how to make the swithes actually work from the steering wheel? I have a Pioneer CD Player DEHP77MP

Thanks for ANY input

I attach some of the pictures
