My dad is a big fan of Jaguar....he's had two in the past....but they are mechanical nightmares.

now he's got a Lexus, which is my Mom's of course....been working without a hitch for years.....he drives his trusty old Toyota Previa since he's a printer and has lots of deliveries and boxes to haul around.

sister drives a 99.5 Pathfinder LE....has 250k miles on it and still running strong

i have the Volvo, and had a Maxima.

dad had a long list of cars that made me want to grow up faster so he'd hand the keys over to me, but the one that started my tuning bug was his 1979 Chevy Silverado 1500 with supercharged LS1 swap.

he was also why i got into volvos, but it started with a 96 850 GLT, not the most impressive reason to get into them, but it made me curious and I found out about the 850's in BTCC and it went from there.

I couldnt vote... my dad always had a acura (until I convinced him to go german and he got the Audi Q7) and my mom always got a toyota van (new sienna with almost every option available). I got my car from my grand parents, but it was my grand fathers car. He secretly drove fast when he was younger I think, he also was one of the primary engineers on the Apollo re-entry heat shields. I convinced my dad to test drive a BMW 328i E36 one day. He was used to old VW's. He fell in love the moment we pulled out of the lot and picked it up the same day. 3 months later I bought my C70. From now on he says he'll only buy BMW's. Next on the list is an E39 M5.

No performance addiction from my parents...

they drove Volvos because I fixed 'em. Before Volvo's, it was MG's, same reason. My mum then switched to Volkswagon, so I taught her how to do her own basic maintainance rolleyes.gif. Once I left home, they had to fend for themselves...
