My threat was locked and I had some delay with machine shop and huge issue with pistons rings from volvo.
All problem were solved, so now is just a labor,
Just a quick remainder, I will run OS2 volvo pistons with Rsport rods first gen, they require cutting cyl sleeves a little, but could be done. I will use gt3071r and siemens 60 lbs injectors,

This is what I started with 160k good running block from 1995 turbo wagon


After taking it apart




There was some sludge action ,but not to bed

New parts


OS2 pistons from volvo and unfamous rings this is correct part numer for all of you that want to use that set up






And finally assembly work started .
I all ready have matches up journal bearings and rod bearing , and this is machine work that was done couple weeks ago





fresh gaskets










tomorrow bottom end should be all together , and this weekend is a deadline for engine installation

Looks like a great project...can't wait to see the end-results. When is your estimated completion date for everything (incl. turbo install)?

ok , quick update,
today I finished cases , did oil pan, Oil pump was cleaned up and checked , new o-rings seals and gaskets
It went pretty smooth , but white block has to many bolts, my hands were killing me laugh.gif
this is what we have right now,
tomorrow I will give it a nice paint job












this is short block pretty much ready to go , spinning freely ready to keep 450 hp alive



BTW who wants to buy it ?

If I tell you how much it is I can't make money on you ,
With selling it was just a joke laugh.gif
I have connections with parts plus labor is free , But You have to spend over $2000 , just to get rods ,pistons, rings,machine shop and spare block just like I did , Don't forget about turbocharger ,injectors and Tune , that is another couple $$$$$

I've heard a $5000 minimum should be expected with these builds if you upgrade turbos and have head work done.

My build (H-beams, pistons, etc.) was over 4K, with 1700 in machine shop costs - then there's all the misc hoses, seals, gaskets, etc......

Engine is going to the shop where I work ,
I gave it a quick paint job ,but It was getting dark so Actually I've seen results as I took couple pics I will post them but be sure that tomorrow I will redo it , I have to take couple more minutes with taping.
But yes schedule is still on weekend, let's get it running

Did you ask the machine shop if they could acid dip the block for you ? Would have removed all oxidation on it. What paint did you use ?

Looks good, the sedan should fly with that set up.
