Well frist off I wanted to say hi. I bought a 1992 960 wagon for my mom. I wanted it for my self but at the time did not have the $$$ I tryed to get another one off ebay but was out bidded on it. Well here is the car Picked it up for $1,600
Have any of you every drag raced the 2.9L and done any mods to it?? I have been thinking if I get one for my self to turbo it might just port the heads on the mom's car why I am fixing the leaking oil pan and rear main seal looks to be leaking as well.

Lax is right the 960 is the most reliable volvo imo. i have a 96 with 158k and it has never needed anything but oil and a timing belt.
I might drive a 40 year old mans car but that means I can keep on tuning it for 18 more years before I need a new one!

The stock 960's aren't that quick, but I have seen a few of them turbo'd in Sweden. With 5 speed tranny's and RWD, they can be pretty wicked

Welcome to Volvospeed!

I saw one just like yours sittin pretty off the side of the road for sale. I was thinking about stopping and finding out how much he was asking and I've heard so many good things about the 960's so I might just do that tomorrow.

Yours is almost cleaner than mine! PEACE!
