mmm, sexy...it's a deal if you can get it at his starting bid, plus, who knows the mileage, etc....then you have to drop it in also...i'd say $1000 for the tranny and getting it put in is what you'd probably end up paying....with a clutch kit, etc, who knows.

man, i should've just bought a manual R wagon....dammit!!

but that's the M56L which has shorter gearing and is less strong than the M56H

Isn't this an M56H? I thought 94 850s were turbocharged...

I got a 94 n/a sitting in my driveway, buts its auto.

And i have seen an N/A 850 manual from 94, just remembered.

all 94's are turbocharged?!?!
hah i think every year volvo sold many more NA's than turbos

every year NA's, 5spd NA's, and turbos were available except 93(no turbo)

m56h is from either euro/canuck market 5speed turbos or 98+ s/v70 t-5 manuals correct?

There are American 850's with the M56H. Either '96 or '97 or both.. and I'm pretty sure the 70 series T-5M's use the M59. Not positive though...

the 99+ 70 series use the M59h with the factory LSD
the 98s still use the m56h... im pretty certain about that

Can I get confirmation that the '99+ 70 manuals use the M59? I've never heard this before but - if true - would be a beautiful development.
