What does "undefined" mean when I try to PM? This new setup is kinda weird...guess I need to figure it out.
"Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built." - Abe Lincoln

Ok. So how does the search function work now?

I tried searching for some posts that I know were in the old site, but all I got was a message that the words I used were not found.
So, just for grins and giggles, I tried an advance search for "s60" and I still got "no results found"

When are we getting an NEC regional forum? Definitely had 30+ people say they were interested.

Pardon me.

I thought this was a throwbacck to an old version of the site.

I ask for the " recent post " button to be installed .

anyway that you can add certain 3 letter acronyms to the index?

a few important ones
850
s70
ECU
BCS etc.

Oh and if you don't want to do that could you add the google search back the bottom of the page?
i used that on a daily basis. I know how to search it in google, it was just nice being at the bottom of the page.

First - thanks for the site. Use it routinely for getting/keeping informed, BUT (and I'm sure this is somewhere in the preceding 12 pages - I just am not inclined to read through that much)............

At work (PC), VS loads fine, but threads are essentially not readable (extended vertically to the point of ridiculous) AND it regularly causes IE to lock up. What have I missed?

At home (Mac), VS runs great most of the time, but will regularly throw me out of Safari completely! Must have missed something in the upgrade that applies to both the Mac and the PC. Can you help?

Neither issue is causing me to spend less time here, it's just frustrating and I'd like to understand why.

Thanks again and Happy New Year! :D

What version of IE is this? Click Help menu -> About IE.
Screenshots are always helpful. Press PRINT SCREEN key, then Paste in to new MSPaint window, save, upload, link.

What do you mean throw you out? Safari crashes/closes and you must re-open? When on Safari, does it also display "vertically" as you see in IE?

As a temporary solution, and one you may grow to use regularly, Firefox has an install for both Windows and Mac and in my experiences works just great.

Now on IE7 finally at work (big corporation - it takes awhile for them to upgrade systems).

Yes, by 'throw out' I mean Safari closes and I must reopen. And no, it does not display vertically in Safari as in IE.

I can adopt the use of FIrefox, but I also can't imagine that I'm the only one (I"ll admit to being a bit different then most - I DO like Volvos, but I've NEVER been that unique!!!) this is happening with.

I'll forward some screen shots from work tonight (it just may take me a bit - as I'm sure you already determined, I'm not the most computer literate - FAILED, I'll try again).

Thanks for the reply. Nice to see that you folks are responsive to your users.

I can only view this site using Firefox. My IE7 shows really long posts with hundreds of blank lines. Then the "REPLY" button changes the format of the text when passing the cursor over it.

I've never seen another site that does this.

Same here. I had it bookmarked. The "find latest content" or however it's phrased is similar and what I've been using as a replacement.

Where'd the "Sort by Relevance" option go in the search? Sort by last updated never gets anything accomplished, and the other options seem to be popularity options. The Relevance option always seemed to get the most done.
