Car is almost done. Been sitting for a week or two totally back together but not cranking over.

Sitting here trying not to work on it some more, I realized finally that the whole freaking purpose of taking it off the road was primarily to make it a manual car. Auto wiring mods needed! Plugged the PNP switch back in, it's snuggled in front of the battery feeling all out of place now, but given its input the car now cranks over. VEMS is seeing an RPM signal, oil pressure builds, fuel pressure is there... Just a few things to button up now and it's done!

Car's intact enough to start and drive, not going to do so until the morning though so I don't fuck anything up on account of being all tired.

I am just now seeing this thread for the first time ;). Wish you said something to me I could of got ya a new compressor wheel for cheap. I was wondering why you were so quiet the last few time I emailed you about your turbo setup. What type of business are you starting up? Keep us informed on the VEMS ;)

Ran it for awhile last night, ran through a few gears on the jackstands. Had visions of Ferris Bueller's day off...

Realized I need to plumb the PCV to stop faint oil puffs out of the tailpipe, wire up the coolant fan with an independent circuit, and do the same thing for the fuel pump. Motronic will prime the fuel pump and then shut it off. I jumpered the stock relay pigtail with a wire so I could run the car a bit. Runs and revs buttery smooth. Camera died in the middle of a video, sue me! So we get one picture and one video thumbnail.

Spanky, you got any deals on T3/T04E hybrids? Or something comparable? I think Turbonetics has some wicked deals at the moment... I think I'm going to need a new turbo pretty soon. I'd rather buy it and let it sit around ready to go in than have to wait for shipping after the car goes down.

It's still on there, and it's now internally gated so no screamer pipe...

And don't worry, the oil has already started to find its way out of the oil cap I think. Doh I hate 850 oil cap seals.

Running video:

Low down and dirty:
Posted Image

Leaves, unloomed wires, uncleaned surfaces, water in the coolant expansion tank... What is this turbobricks?
Posted Image

PCV improvisation. Yes, the ziptie has quite a tail. Actually a number of them in the bay currently do.. Once everything works I'm going to trim the tails and loom all the wiring.
Posted Image

Super blubbery welds, planed ATP wastegate housing, ground down Ford actuator fitting to allow the clip to fit over it and to move freely. No leaks!
Posted Image

Artfully confusing termination of the ignition wiring..
Posted Image

Posted Image

Heh.

:)

I almost stalled it by trying to turn the throttle wheel the wrong way. Have only adjusted throttle cable so far, once I get the idle point right I'll set the stop on the throttle itself. Revs nice and cleanly though youtube doesn't really convey much of the experience.

Still at a loss over the power windows:
