if your being too cheap to remove the limter on those two things. you def dont have the hardware to go 160mph.

How is your suspension?
you have a BBk?
What rating tires do you have?

Not really worried about cops. Not out at night, and even if there was one I don't think he'd even see me by the time he starts moving. I would be worried about a pothole, but I know a few good spots on I-80.

possible pros:

• you could crash and die
  
• you could kill someone else
  
• you could get pulled over...
  
• arrested...
  
• loose your license
  
• you could harm your car in many ways

i think the cons out way the pros

Yea, you're right, but I still want to be able to at least confidently say that I can go 160, ya know? I want to have that option open.

check his profile , he's 17 years old , its not his fault , he doesn't know any better ... because of the replies on this post its likely that he will never ask another question , so he's going to end up playing with something he doesnt have any clue how to work on , and THEN he is going to get himself killed ... instead why dont we promote him actually learning , and share with him how to get the most fun ... top speed is lame ... I'm sorry but being 17 doesn't excuse him from anything. He is one year from being a legal adult, he should know about safe driving unless he is self taught. Even then with all the shenanigans that goes on, look at the Acura roll over thread, or the wreck s40 thread... or the countless others here who have wrecked their volvo's here and it was because of some other irresponsible driver. ONTOP of that, his remarks blatantly show immaturity and name calling before really being flamed doesn't help his case. Also such a strong reaction from us will alert him to the stupidity of his question/goal of having the limiter removed so he can go 160 on public roads. Lastly anyone who looks at other topics can see we do not respond to all questions like this. If it is a legitimate question then sure he will get help, but when you ask someone how you can threaten their lives or the lives of others by going 160 on public roads no way in hell am I going to help, I can be nice about not helping, but not when he posts crap like this
