Instead of making a costume and trick-or-treating, I went autocrossing on Halloween. I live in Savannah, GA, and am about 20 minues away from one of the best road courses in the southeast. The Buccaneer region SCCA put on this event and it was awesome. I've NEVER driven an autocross course this fast. I kept thinking I was missing cones, but I wasn't. I was seeing 60-75mph in the fastest sections of the course, and some of the modified guys were seeing 90ish. This posed a problem as I saw an RX-8, a few 350Zs and an Integra almost go into the woods. Thankfully Roebling has nice runoff areas, or they would've been toast.

I ran ESP (E Street Prepared), set 2nd quickest time in my class. Here's the video of two of my runs... my last run was a lesson in poor tire pressure adjustments, as I blew it and took out three cones and ran a 52 something. Apparently ES100s like to have alot of pressure in them for traction. It was my first time autocrossing this car, was quite a learning experience. 300hp and FWD makes for an interesting situation exiting an off-camber corner at 50mph. As soon as the boost came up, I was just sliding to the outside of the corner.

Enjoy, I welcome any comments or questions.

Congrats on the 2nd best run in the class. Its wierd to hear an uncorked exhaust with a turbo... wish i had something that nice!

neat vid...i would love to see how having the bill's would be compared to a set of koni's set stiff in the rear and a little softer in the front....do you have a strut brace? What is nice about something like that is that the driving skills are quite a bit more important than how much power you are putting to the floor. Did you only get to make 2 runs?

see thats a great video of the volvo susp. at work, do you guys see the slight yet present yaw or additional rotation of the car through the turns, not quite oversteer but pretty balanced, looks like the delta link setup at full song to me. sweetness, nice driving too

look out captain body roll!!!!

seriously i love autoxing on roebling road. that place is sweet.

2 summers ago i went to a divisional located there and it was some of the most fulfilling autoxing i have ever done and i got to see a type R flip. that was pretty crazy.
they just flipped him back over and he drove away.
