Volvo 850 Lift Kit ?

Moved to Texas from Florida a year ago and I've noticed the 850 is to low and the suspension is to stiff. I can't afford to buy a xc70 like my wife so I need to change the suspension on the 850. Has anyone ever lifted a 850 wagon and if so how? Thanks

Your Garage is not worthy
For the Masterpiece you built
That only looks like it cost a Fortune
While most flaunt their cars by going fast
You show off Standing Still

too low for what? lol
Too low for the rest of the SUVs and pickup trucks in the area, he can't see past them?
As far as raising the car, that might be difficult. The stock springs are about as tall as they come, since almost everyone wants to go lower/stiffer. The XC springs aren't an option in the rear, since the AWD rear suspension is significantly different..
I remember IPd selling overload springs, but that would just make it ride stiffer and not raise it from stock much.. and I don't see them for the 850 anyways, only the older rwd cars.
So.. coilovers?

I have TME overloads on my 855. raised the rear ~1". I'm looking at Eibachs now. Not sure what can be done to the front.
Now there's a man with an open mind - you can feel the breeze from here!

Wouldn't XC70 front springs work? According to IPD the front struts are the same for the XC and regular V70, which would mean an XC front spring would fit an 850. Also, I don't see rear overload springs on their site anymore. Slightly taller tires would also help raise the car a bit and give you a softer ride. Lastly, I think the suspension on these cars is pretty terrible for a "luxury" car and it will always feel stiff/harsh compared to BMW, MB, etc.

PM me if you're local need codes checked, or service light on a 98 reset.

That's why the P2 was created.
Only if it was as reliable.
step 1-buy s60 T5
step 2-strip car and replace engine harness with 850 harness install 850 engine+MT, with turbo tuner
step 3-get other shit to work. ac, airbags etc.
thats about all you have to do hahahaha

You should check out a Subaru board and see what those guys are doing to lift theirs. I've seen a few of them running around that had a decent amount of lift on them.
But, I'm not sure exactly how you could make it work on a Volvo using off the shelf parts. Anything is possible with a full fab shop though
