Ok, so Im driving along nice and easy. Then, I need to punch it to get out of the way of some MORON in San Antonio. I down shift (5 speed) and punch the gas. The car pulls away like it always has, but then the car lurched forward. I checked the gauges, the boost gauge was in full vacuum, the RPMs held steady.

I took my foot off the gas, and it seems that power was restored. It does this only at 3/4 or more (per gauge) boost as I am nearing 4k RPM. If i pop it in first and slowly raise the RPMs, I can get it to the red line without issue, its only under heavy throttle and boost.

I took off the hose that connects the AMM to the turbo, it is weak and flimsy near the connection at the turbo.

I have checked vacuum lines, all seem ok.

Can the hose be collasping due to the vacuum created by the air moving into the turbo?

I should add that the car drives FINE in every day driving, its ONLY under full throttle I have this issue.

No other problems, smooth idle, easy start, no smoke.

I'd bet it has to be the turbo inlet hose collapsing under suction. Try a few plastic tie straps around it, and or insert a coil of hanger wire inside.

Meh, I have the new hose coming from the indie today. I had another 740 turbo, same problem, same fix. *FIngers crossed*

Also, I noticed my wastegate rod clip was broken, and in the process of trying to get a new one in, the rod has slipped off the wastegate connection. Easy fix? I cant lift the car, and I cant see it from the top...

It' just a simple hitch pin like this:

Should be able to buy a replacement at almost any hardware store.
