Ok, '98 S70 in my sig with the stock alloy wheels, seen in sig. I assume the stock color is bright silver? or what is it if its not that? Also, I was thinking maybe anthacrite, anyone seen a silver S70 with these wheels colored in anything other than the stock color. I have the black ABMs and black grill and would not mind going with darker wheels if it looks good with the silver paint.

What ya think?

new wheels cost way too much right now. Im just trying to get the car back to the just about like new look, and the wheels are last on that list. Im in school, so I can't drop 600 bucks on some replica pegs right now :P

anyway, I plan on doing a good job. I know, no one likes those wheels, but they don't bother me, they just need to be refinished.

i picked up a decent set of canistos for 200 bucks..... the deals are out there. they needed to be refinished, but if you do it yourself you learn a lot on how to do it. if you have any curb rash be sure to get some metal filler. dont forget LOTS of layers of clear coat

as for color.... anthracite is the popular choice for silver cars.

ok, seems like anthracite or bright silver. I will do some photoshopping, maybe look for some pics. anyone have any pics by any chance of these wheels in anthracite. But in all honesty I will probably go with the bright silver. Maybe brake dust is not as large of an issue with anthracite, hmmmm...

I will be looking for new wheels in the future, no worries.

thanks guys, btw

Attention:

DO NOT RUSH BUYING NEW WHEELS/TIRES!

I learned that the hardway.....after I got rid of my stock wheels (same as yours) I missed them so badly and wished I would've waited.

I know it's just wheels and tires but it's a major decision that changes everything about your car. IMO

I don't know about everyone else but I don't want to feel the slightest vibration, etc. while driving......ESPECIALLY on the highway.

That being said I think an Anthracite or a Gun Metal would look good!

I know no one cares for those wheels but I, like you, didn't mind them at all. I wanted new, bigger ones of course but was content.

Best of luck to you.

The bold colours look cool as hell on silver cars too...case in point: Danny's silver with the John Deere green wheels or that dude in The Netherlands with the bright blue wheels. Both looked sic! If they are stockers...go balls out on them!!! Bright Red!
