if you want performance, just get a K&N panel filter. The stock air box is a very good design, pulls cold air from the front of the car. If you want the turbo whistle sound, you can get a kit from IPD or EST. They are open air cone filters with heatshields, no performance gain, just sound.
IPD Stage 2 MT, m56H, 16T-7cm2, R mani, 350cc whites, FMIC, Meth/WI, Forge BOV, Greddy EBC, 3" TBE, CAI, Koni/IPD susp., IPD sways, OBX v2 strut bar, 17" ADR RS, SS brake lines

Yes, Get an SRT4 BOV plate. Mounts inbetween the CBV and the turbo.
Block it of and get a really one. Or just get a cone filter and you will be able to hear it. Custom CAI is the way to do it. ~$50 for a good setup.

All depends on which filter you buy and how many parts you use....
I did mine on my 745T for $50. Spectre filter ($25) and two 3" pipes from Spectre ($24). a clamp and some heater hose for a bumper setup. Free heat shield (made form crap in the garage).
Cheap, but works great!

true true. mine kept adding up more than expected. Your's is a little shorter too looks good: ) custom is best. To the OP, make sure you remove that restrictive pipe after the maf.

the filter is in a bucket LOL with the bottom cut out. I was trying to keep large amounts of water from hitting it through the bumper grill at highway speeds.

Does anyone make a kit that replaces the tubing between the MAF sensor the turbo to be used with a cone filter?
Thanks.
