Last week my wife and I were returning home after a brief shopping trip. We had waited out a very strong thunderstorm before getting back in my 1995 850 wagon. We stopped at a light on the outskirts of town. I looked over to say something to my wife and saw her head snap forward, followed by a loud crashing sound and shattering glass. A 1978 Chevy 3/4 ton farm truck had slid into us, unable to stop on slick tires and wet roads. My old Volvo did what it was supposed to do, it shielded us and absorbed most of the shock. In doing that, she was totaled.
I appreciate the good advise and information I have gotten from this group over the last few years. I don't see another Volvo in my future for several reasons, mostly financial. So I will be signing off Volvospeed.

I'm glad she did all she could to protect you, too bad she died in the process.
