We'd like to get in one more great even before the monsoon season starts.

What: Volvos, Saabs, and other things Swedish
When: Saturday, Oct. 3, rain or shine (unless it's a hurricane)
Time: 10:00 a.m. If you want to PARK your car in and amongst other motorcars of Swedish decent, come about 30 min. early and pick out a good spot!
Where: Portland IKEA parking lot, near Portland International Airport in the Cascade Station
Address: 10280 NE Cascades Parkway, Portland, OR 97220

Details:
- We need an estimated headcount... so please RSVP here on this thread if you are coming.

- The Puget Sound VCOA and the Seattle Saab clubs are being invited, so this may end up being a pretty big affair.

- The IKEA portion of the All Swedish meet will end at 3:00 p.m. There will then be a short (but scenic) cruise to Portland International Raceway, where we will conduct a genuine show & shine starting at 5:00 p.m., and drag racing into the night.

- At PIR... prizes will be distributed for three separate categories; "Best Volvo" and "Best Saab", and one overall prize for "Best in Show". These will be based on the "preview" of these cars at IKEA. Later on in the evening, at PIR, separate prizes will be awarded for "Fastest Volvo" and "Fastest Saab", and one overall prize for "Fastest Swede". There will also be two other prizes for "ugliest Swede", and "slowest Swede". No guarantee on the "quality" of prize however... think White Elephant gift on those two!

- There is a $2 fee per car for the IKEA meet. 100% of money raised will be donated to Doernbecher's Children's Hospital.

-Food: Lots to chose from at Cascade Station, or inside IKEA (go Swedish pancakes!)
