I'm visiting my parents and would like to do a few quick maintenance items on their s90.
1) Does it have a cabin air filter? I installed on in my 850, not sure whether this comes standard in the s90.
2) What are common Stage 0 items at 80k miles? It already had the Tbelt, Sbelt and ATF changed.
3) How do you remove the center console under the handbrake? A pictoral step-by-step if it exist. When the car is being driven there is an annoying rattling noise that sounds like the handbrake cable is rattling against something. Kind of like a guitar string being strung from time to time.
Thanks in advance.

1) no
2) depending on condition: coolant; flush power steering fluid; check the air filter; new Volvo brand spark plugs.
3) don't have time right now to post a pictorial. Remove the under dash panels: usually a couple of screws near the middle, may have an access panel over them on the passenger side that you pop out, then pull out on the lower corner next to the center console to pop the panel loose, same at outside corner of dash, pull down to pop the panel loose, then slide the panel to the rear, disconnect the foot well light. Now you have access to the bolts at the front edge of the console. At the base of the hole for the parking brake lever, there is a small panel that you grab and pop out, there are two screws below that. On the floor inside the storage compartment is a small panel that you pop out (right angle pick works well for this) to access two screws below that. Beyond that, you may need to remove the front ash tray; remove the rear ash tray and pop out the rear face panel, the bottom edge pops out first: use a right angle pick to pull up the clips that are formed into the plastic at the bottom edge as you pull rearward on the bottom edge of the panel , make sure you are gentle as these can break; disconnect the lights. Now you should be able to lift out the console, disconnect the heated seat switches and transmission control switch as needed.

Thanks for the instructions below.
I've done the coolant flush, will get to the power steering too. Did it on my 850 and the S90 seems to have a similar setup. plan to pull the hose below the PS fulid tank.
