When you snap the throttle shut is sucks a bunch of oil into one or more of the combustion chambers.
In my case it's mostly due to the motor being tired, but I plan on a heavily improved crankcase breather system this winter nonetheless. Oil through the chambers is very bad. Maybe it's just the turbo...
My motor was rebuilt 14K ago, and the turbo is less than a year old, but I'm still assuming it's the turbo, since I still get a fair amount in the piping, etc.
Anyhow - I'm off to put my AWD back in, I'm tired of all the wheelspin through third

Put this up under the dash -converts analog signal from AEM Wideband for input into the OT-1

serial cable from SSI-4 routed under center console & out into armrest storage..

... OT-1 connected..

tomorrow I have to do some trial datalogging... to evaluate the fuel & ign mapping then I can move onto TurboTuner

So, no datalogging.
2) TT ECU sets a CEL P0605 (ECU RAM error). Map Trace feature disabled.
Basically a shit weekend.
On the upside, Adam @ TT is great to deal with, responds REALLY promptly, and is taking care of it, BUT, it still means I won't have a working TT setup for a couple of weeks, maybe longer.

What a buzzkill...
On a lighter note, how do you like the AWD with all that power?
Feel snappier? Or less so just more balanced?

The AWD just makes it more balanced, I don't have to worry about jumping into the adjacent lane just because I romped on it
Not snappier, FWD is definitely snappier

Worst investment ever.. I feel sorry for you..
Why Innovate is crap, or just the OT-1? Or is it the software? Enlighten me please, I can still return it, since it doesn't seem to connect with the ECU

All US turbos have oil coolers - pre-98 have it in the radiator - more lines & places to leak.

Well.. Innovate as a whole is junk IMO but the OT-1 hasn't been supported for over a year. Just read their forum and be shocked. No support, loads of problems with connecting the OT etc. etc. but no firmware updates in more than a year and stupid remark from Innovate like "We tested the device on a pre WWII Auto union and all worked fine but we didn't test any other vehicle because we don't have any vehicle available".. Thing is, they keep selling the device while knowing it is half baked. Also the software is questionable to say the least. Try forcing the old OBD protocol. ISO 9141. Worked for me. All other is just a waste of time.
PS don't leave it connected because it will drain the battery.

Thanks for the reply! What do you mean by forcing the old (ISO 9141) protocol?
Thing is, I just want to data log my existing tune to get fuel & ign parameters - if this isn't going to do that, then I should just return it.

For OBD I use Palmer Performance PCMscan, Used a WinMobile Ease OBD also but PCMscan works for me.
About the ISO-9141, from what I recall the OT-1 tries to connect through CAN first. I belive the software allows to set it to 9141, need to check because it has been a long time since I last used the device.
