That's OK. Knowing my luck, I'll probably get in my car later tonight and it will seize on me out of nowhere. ;) But yeah...Volvospeed is pretty much the only place on the planet where people make Volvos sound UN-reliable. If you don't thrash your car, and if you keep your car in proper tune, a rod isn't going to just bend out of the blue. B)

Right! Here on VolvoSPEED, where we are all trying to make more power which usually equates to a reduction in reliablilty. . Other than the one comment above, most bent rods are just that, bent. I would hazard a guess that there are more than a few Volvos running around ticking away with the owner blissfully unaware. Perhaps you? I suspect Volvo uses the same rod in a N/A as a turbo so the rods are at the upper end of the "ok to use" scale". Finally there is a reason that there are finally some readily available forged rods out there.

Ryan said you called him. Ive delt with some of the guys in west knoxville(I work out here, but Live in Oak Ridge) and they are worse to deal with and twice as expensive as Trans Tech.

Stick with Ryan, he'll take care of you in the end, where as everyone else around here will end up charging you more than they originally said they would(ask me how I know...)The thing about Ryan is the bill always comes out a little less than what he said it would be..

He works on anything Euro....Volvo/BMW/VW/Mercedes/ECT..

The car is sitting at a shop I worked at during the summer right now. I took it there because he's much closer to me. He's gonna drop the pan and tell me how bad the damage is. If its rebuildable, which it probaby is, I most likey am going to have it towed to Ryan and start ordering parts. If you dont mind me asking what kind of budget are you working with. I know youre pretty much replacing everything possible but I just want to get an idea of how much im looking to spend on labor and parts.
