Damn, my wife posted THAT pic on Facebook?

I couldn't find a pic of a left wing loon waving the hammer and sickle, and an AK-47.

By the way, my weapon of choice is a Mossberg 590a1 12 gauge. That POS HK is a 7.62 mm, hardly feasible as a shower defense weapon. And I like a cold beer in the shower with my Chips Ahoy. Your stereotype of a right wing nut needs to be updated. Come on man, get with the times, will ya?

Ah, Oregon, now it all makes sense. The home of euthanasia. Covered under Obamacare I'm sure.

Yeah, their scaring me all right.

Warned weeks ago by the Fed, H1N1 vaccine is short. The first demographic excluded was senior citizens, normally near the front of the line. Sounds like rationing and policy wonks deciding who gets care.

Govt fuckups and redtape are in full effect, creating delays. HHS Secretary Kathlene Sebelius says 10% of taxpayer purchased shots are being donated to other nations before US demand is filled.

Obamacare is providing swine flu vaccine to illegal aliens before they get here.

Paraphrased from the editorial page of The Waterbury Republican-American, 10/29/09

A) Last time I checked it was optional insurance, just like you have the option to mail packages with whomever you want.
B)If you knew anything about medicine you would be applauding this mishap instead of condemning it. Shoot me full of a vaccine that has been pushed through the clinical trials, for a virus that has killed 100 people in the world this year. DO the math and you will probably realize you have a better chance of waking up in bed at the Heffner mansion to realize ur getting ur salad tossed by Hugh.
C) The system is already broke. Bitch about getting poked in the ass by some Obamacare, while Big Pharma and the insurance cults are gang banging ur sister. Pick you poison!!

I am not for the left or the right, not republican or democrat. The system in place is the shitty side of capitalism.

Big Pharma has been behind closed doors with the administration orchestrating deals for months now. They will get paid by this massive bloated bureaucracy. And insurance companies hate this plan, it kills them.

So your are condoning using non-U.S. citizens for test subjects? Sounds like the Tuskegee Project to me. I know you don't, I'm just stirring the pot.

I never get flu shots, last time I did I was in the Army and was sick for 3 days.

It's the principle of the thing. I don't like govt doing anything related to my health. And if they instituted some type of tort reform, allowed competition across state lines, and killed the public option, I'd consider it. In 1965 Medicare cost $4 billion, the CBO estimated it would cost $12 billion in 1990. Actual cost? $110 billion. Congress says this plan will cost $1 trillion. You do the math. Govt does nothing efficiently except kill growth. Income tax rates would have to double by 2050 to cover this crap. Your looking at a 75% tax rate for your grand kids by 2082. You'll be dead, but thats sick. I'll take my capitalist chances with what I have.

I don't a have sister. How's yours doing?

I've watched a couple videos of people from the UK and Canada, talking about their health care system. They make fun of Americans because we seem to be the only ones that think their system "doesn't work." A staggering 80%+ of Brits and Canadians like their system the way it is, and they make fun of us because we know NOTHING about it, but we (or really, Republicans) still try to make it sound bad and put words in the mouths of the people who actually know how well it works.

But hey...ignoring facts is COOL! Let's keep doing that! After all, that got Bush in office. Twice.

The down side to this is that it is going to kill the private health care sector. What half witted business owner that offers health care to its employees is going to keep doing so if they can cut it and push their employees on to the public option?

This debate is just the difference between how dem's and rep's handle public problems. Dem's use social programs and rep's use the private sector.

I'm for the latter. I would like to see them lift some of the regulations regarding cross state insurance and also change some of the malpractice laws which are really what is killing the profit and is what is hiking up the price of medical bills

I guess you missed the video of Canadians going to the USA for prescriptions and Dr's visits.

Or the crazy ass lines to get help.

If there is free universal health-care... millions and millions of people are going to stop paying for insurance through their employer and ... you think that is going to be a good thing? haha, geez... watch more YouTube videos.

I agree. The ability to shop across state lines is in this current bill, however there are ZERO incentives to promote it with in the bill. This bill is a massive funnel for the public option.

Where's the facts? Brits and Canadians don't know any better.

Would you rather have the gov't decide ''life or death'' situations?

With a public option there is no incentive to be efficient or make strides to make things better. If you have a constant cash flow what is the point in trying to create more revenue stream? The point of the business to make money is taken out of the equation...

The whole debate is over what the standard level of health should be. You can think of it like a graph of all the different health level from healthy to almost death. Where should that line be drawn in terms of the standard of health that should be given to people?

I agree that the basic health needs of people should be taken care of because of the prosperity we have in our country but beyond that you should have to pay for healthcare.

Healthcare is not a 'right' its a privilege.

Whats Canadia got, 30 million people? GB has 61 million, I just checked.

We have over 300 million, with many more dense population centers. Thats 5-10 times the head aches and chances for fraud, never mind the logistics and accounting, auditing, yadda, yadda...
