Don't think so. 97 and 98 have a different control version IIRC.
'98 S70 GLT, T5 ecu, Forge bov, 15G, 13psi

The ECU will only work with '98 cars.
This is perfect for if you do a manual swap on a '98 T5a and want to not have a check engine light anymore.
