Turbosmart Eboost2 Installed

For now, I have the boost set to 15psi. At the dyno shop the guru started tuning the EBC with boost starting at 17.5psi and was getting misfires, could hear them, and the dyno charts showed them. The tuner dialed the boost down to 12psi and the car sounded fantastic, but we settled on 15psi for now. The car's horsepower rating was 282HP and the tuner wasn't even pushing it, we were focused on tuning the EBC. However, the tuner told me I needed new plugs (only have 6K on the Bosch OEM plugs), so I installed new NGK plugs today and also ordered a one step colder NGK plug. I've also got the shift light installed and WOW that sure helps remind me when to shift (at 5300rpm). The first time I had the car dyno'd I would get boost fade at high boost levels, but now with the EBC we were able to fix that and now the boost pressure holds steady at 15psi, and also helps make up for the IC weep hole. I really like this TurboSmart EBC and I'm sure once we tune it more it will be fantastic.
Once I get the colder NGK plugs I'm going to go back to the dyno shop (2 weeks maybe) and have them tune the EBC for 17psi and see which NGK plugs are best.

how hard was the install? What made you go with the eboost over something like an AVC-R? Just curious i like how the e-boost looks.

I have H-beam Rods, ported/polished heads, cryogenic springs, balanced crank etc, plus a 16T and white injectors, basically a T5 setup with a VMS ECU.
I was only getting 4-5 PSI of boost on my stock (but new) TCV, I am now getting 12-15 PSI with the tru-boost, and it spools up from 4 PSI at 2k rpm to 12 PSI at 4500 RPM very quickly, this upgrade has made my car perform like I'd hoped with all the work I did on the engine.
I can actually break the tires loose in 3rd gear on wet pavement at 60+mph if I stomp on it and my scangauge says 270 HP, a pretty good improvement over a stock GLT, good thing I have a new transmission.
I'm running E3 plugs with a coil upgrade, and I like the performance but I'm willing to be talked out of them.
In summary, WOW! Electronic Boost Control will make your car really perform.

On another note, the dyno shop in order to get the RPMs to match the factory tach set the number of cylinders to 4, not 5. Have to ask the dyno shop why that is, or perhaps have my Volvo mechanic check the install. However, the EBC seems to be working correctly and the shift light fuction is working correctly, so maybe its not a big deal to have 4 cylinders selected instead of 5.
I still can't believe what a difference in boost this had made!! (I even think the paint on the front end is starting to blister off from the acceleration) (LOL!!!) Looking forward to going back to the dyno in 2 weeks to see the HP rating now and further tune the EBC to 17psi now with the new colder NGK plugs.

It didnt like something about the external wastegate or something. I am using lower shores MBC and can break the tires loose in 3rd at 60-70mph on dry pavement, but then again a 50 trim pushing 20psi is moving a little more air than a tdo4

You are selling your investment short by going with an 18t. Let the engine breathe a bit and go with a Td05 or larger (or t3/t4)
