The one on the right appears 3x, while the one on the left appears 1x on the LH Front mount. Does anyone know why this one is different?

Are you sure that one's not damaged? I don't recall any difference between them. Check w/ DW Volvo & see if there is more than one PN listed for the subframe.

my friend's father (30 year Volvo Dealership Service Tech) says it's to make sure you can still line up all the boltholes, even if the frame is tweaked a small amount. he says it doesn't matter where you put it back in. but if you have a tweaked frame, or subframe, that one mount SHOULD allow you to still bolt everything up. It also allows the subframe to pivot around that point in the case of an accident.

nope, it's correct. it's the odd one out in the parts diagram.

No problem!! If I may ask, why are you making solid subframe mounts. It would seem to me that'd just make for a kinda uncomfortable ride.

Be sure to reinforce the mounting surfaces, mine cracked on the first car we did after about 5000 miles.
I welded some flat plate then gusseted to the depressions in the subframe.
Be advised the subframe is coated so sand/grind it away first before welding or you'll end up emitting zinc oxide particles/gas.

my plan was to do this using a billet. there was some cheap 5" x 5" x 4" alum-6061 stock here at the metal supply that was scrap from another job.

for what it's worth, it looks like these subframe mounts are the same as for the P2 cars.

My pop used to run SHOshop subframe connectors on his 92' 5spd SHO and 98' V8 SHO. Basically made the 4-door car feel more like a 2-door car. I'd think they'd help keep the car more straight at least. Why not replace the mounts with new OEM and then add a subframe "H-brace" as chassis support?

I had some solid alloy mounts made to try to help the front of the car feel more connected under hard acceleration and could not belive what a massive difference it made.

I have since put the delrin type mounts on a few other cars and each customer has been shocked how much better the turn in and feel is a well worth while mod.

Where are you getting Derlin subframe mounts? I'm interested.

Hmmmmm.

Group buy anyone?
That site has them for 1300sek

Here is the company that seems to make them. Perhaps we could go to the source for a group order? The website is molded into the derlin:

I would be in. Are they sold in pairs or as a set?

$400 for a full set would be kinda rough.
