265/65 are truck tires man!
Maximum you can get away with is 235/45/17 and those will rub. I'd recommend 225/45/17 to be on the safe side.

Definately don't go over a 235 45. My friend rubs like a son of bich with 245 45 r17

For snow tires? Thinner is better in the snow; these will just float on top.
