i plan on putting in new starter in my 850r today. i was wondering the obsticals i might face, of how long it might take me due too a tight squeez
Ipd motor mount/ignition system
Turbo XS Duel manual boost controller 8psi/14.5psi
Samco Hoses, H&R springs, Strut tower brace, Sweet 16" Persus's

It is pretty straight forward and easy. I opted to take the fan shroud off which makes the entire job much easier and adds a lot of room to work in. Removing the shroud only takes 5 minutes so may be something to consider.

.....don't know what problem you are addressing but there are some serious issues with these cars and the cabling to the battery and/or ground. If you are getting weak starting, it may not in fact be the starter motor.

If you have high mileage (more than 100K miles) and have not done the PCV yet then I suggest that you replace the PCV system:

Once the Intake Manifold is out, the Starter Motor is in plain sight (see pic in the above link)

And Yes, remove the Battery Positive Cable first!
