first of all, would like to say hello to everyone.

I have a problem I would like to hear with the experts: I would like to install a newer steering wheel on my 1994 850 SE, any-one of those with original volvo switches on the steering wheel for controlling the cd-player AND cruiswe control..

Problem no 1: will the steering wheel actiually fit, from ex a S80, S60, XC70 etc... How can I make it fit?

Problem no 2: how to make the swithes actually work from the steering wheel? I have a Pioneer CD Player DEHP77MP

Thanks for ANY input

I attach some of the pictures

Pioneer sells a wireless steering wheel remote.

AKAIK the steering wheel will *fit*, but the airbag will not work and you'll throw a srs warning (and therefore fail any inspection and risk insurance issues if there is an accident). Aside from that, good luck. I've no question it can be done, but you're looking at hardwiring something into your pioneer hu, and dealing with the clock wires at the wheel. If you've a detachable face hu you'd need to replicate more than just a contact closure as the faceplace will have the control "controller" in it.
