Ok, so the Volvo manufacture people want to charge me 600 bucks for one front strut for my 2004 S60R. I don't want to have to pay that, and all the aftermarket companies that I looked into do not make a replacement. I'm either one, not finding it, or two there really is not a substitute out there. Anyone with an S60R ever had to replace their front struts and know where I can get some? Or does someone have a sweet hookup they can share the love with? Or does anyone know where I can find replacement front struts (I need two) from any manufacturer besides Volvo, that will be a suitable replacement? Thanks for helping me out!

To my knowledge no one else makes a strut for that car because of the 4C chassis. Typically you replace struts in pairs.
Call Darrell Waltrip Volvo for a good price on the strut.

How do you only have one? Seems kind of odd, since they are replaced in sets. Did you steal it off some ones car..... eh? eh?
I'd venture its off the s60r he parted that was hit on the drivers side, the drivers strut was probably fubared

Just spoke with Darrell Waltrip Volvo and they no longer offer the discount of the 4C struts for S60R. I too need to replace my front, but will probably do all 4 along with Eibach springs. TascaParts.com has them for $341.24 each (almost half of the list price). Thanks for the info
