You will get the best performance/light output from 4300K, 5000K performs well and is popular also. Those temperatures you're interested in are just about a light show.

Hi Aaron, i only have access to the 6000K, 8000K or 10,000K, but based on your answer i guess the 6000K Kit would be the best as its the closed temp to the 5000K

Im still looking for other opinions thou,

thanks

5k is what I have for both 850's and love them. Agreed with the above post. 6k will be your best option as 8k will probably draw attention from the fuzz, not sure how they are around you but here they can be pickey.

sharphid.com is running a sale right now for $70 shipped for the complete kit.

the higher temp you go from 4300K, the less light output you will get.

I tried both and the 6000K is brilliant white, whitch is perfect for theses cars in my opinion. 8000k is just way too blue, kinda ricey
This is 35w 8000k

+1

most stock HID's nowadays are 4300k for optimum light output

6000K is great. I have that as well. Granted, I have the 55W kit as opposed to my old 5000K 35W kit, so the light output is still better with the 6K. :P

6K is the way if that's what's available to you. Better lumen output than 8K. Like someone said in this post, sharpHID.com reduced pricing on 35w and 55w kits. 35w for $70 & $85 for 55w with lifetime warranty, shipped. John Sharp, owner, is great to work with.

I got the Apexcone 8k 55watt. I went from seeing nothing at night to everything. They are in the stock housings and I haven't been flashed once in the 3 months they have been in.

White with little bit of blue.

I'd say nothing higher than 6000K

I have 6000's now, but I did have 7000's for a while.

8000K is way too blue.

Just bought some 4300k 35w from sharpHID. I'll post pictures when I install them to show the contrast from 4300k to 6-8000k

pictures dont really help when you're trying to show the difference between the temps. camera settings, light, all these factors will change the color on pictures.

In the first pic they look more like 5000k, and the second pic they look like 8000k, but its a 6000k kit.
