Yes. You chose right. Since you are in Canada, that's a good deal!

I also agree with the 2 comments above: sharpHID.com FTW! I've had my 35w 5K kit for almost 2 years no issue and the performance is great!

When you get a chance, pics please :D

Hey Rye, how's life treating you?

850princess, SharpHid's are great, and have good service. Ebay is hit and miss, but i'm sure you already knew that. I have 3k's and love them. And sweet, another person from Ontario

Just installed my first HID 35w 5000k kit from sharphid. Heres a pic i took comparing the best halogen bulb (left), PIAA H7 Xtreme White Plus, compared to a 35w 5k HID system (right).

Posted Image

Light output from the HID kit is about 5x brighter then the PIAA H7 bulbs, with a light shade of baby blue. With the brighter ouput iam able to see much further (about 20-30ft further) down the road. I went with the 5k bulbs because i wanted a more intense white output but instead the 5k is more blue then i wanted. So later iam going to purchase a separate set of 4k bulbs. My only problem is my ABM projectors arent level on each side but when i turn the dial to adjust them theres no difference no matter how much i turn it? anyone else have that problem with leveling there ABM projectors?
It can only achieve unicorn status if it is HPT :)
Trust me it doesn't matter what kind of car, they keep it quiet when they lose to a Volvo. :D
You do realise your car needs 5 lol :p

ok, I know Burlington, I lived in waterloo for about 4 years, so not too far away. I'd drive out there with the C70 if it wasnt 2600 miles away :( I'm hoping to fly out there this summer, and definitely gonna have a few ontario volvo crew meets.

life's treatin me pretty good mike, the C's slowly progressing and i moved into a new place with some chill people so alls good. how you been doin? If i come to canada this summer i'm gonna make my way out to ktown for a bit, my sisters been trying to get me to come out there and visit.

actually....there was no border taxes or anything like that. SharpHID takes care of that if i remember correctly. I was only charged $110 US ($90 for the Kit plus $20 for shipping) i think the border taxes came out to like $28 so i got a deal.

6000K or lower. Color temperature and light output are inversely proportional. Higher temp = less light. I laugh at cars when I see them driving with 12000K HIDs... there is virtually no usable light.

Try 5000K if you can, that's probably the best compromise of color and light, although I'm pro 4300K.

despite the fact that 4300K makes 50% more light than 12000K, 12000K still puts out twice the lumens of a halogen bulb.

Although 12000k is completely illegal

It may be brighter, but blue/purple light is terrible for night vision.

Good to hear you got a new place, sounded like the old one wasn't very good for you. I've been doing good, destroying my 850 even more, and enjoying life. Give me a shout if you make it here, we'll grab a brew or something.
