Hi,

This has been happening for a couple of years but now it is getting bad. When it is colder out the blower motor for the heater just shuts off. But if you pull over to the side of the road you can turn the car off and turn it back on again and it works. As the car warms up it seems to go away. No special noises coming or anything. It's like some sort of thermal trip goes off and then when you cycle the power (car on, car off) it resets.

My wife thanks you ahead of time!

Chris

Im going to assume you have ECC(electronic climate control) Are the switches on Auto? If so it could be the actuall ECC module itself. But if the fan works and doesnt make noises then I am going to assume it is your blower motor resistor located to the left of the blower motor housing. It will be a black rectangle with one electrical connection.

^^^ This. Doubt the ECC is bad although it has happened before, but not likely. Either the resistor or the ECC cabin sensors are bad. I have both available for sale :)
