Never leaked oil before but just a few days ago it seems im drastically loosing oil.

At first I thought it was the gasket for the dipstick where it meets the oil pan. Replaced that and the problem still persists.

I looked down the intake manifold and there's some crud down there as well.

i drove about .5 miles and above the dipstick was clean as i had cleaned around the area. Then I drove spiritedly back .5 miles then all over that area it was covered in oil.

-can oil really spray out of the dipstick tube that much? I know a clogged pcv can cause that but i just replaced that <10k ago. if it is possible to be the dipstick area what would cause it to come out like that? or where else should i be looking? its not coming from the filler cap thats for sure.
-car runs just fine, no hiccups or stalls or anything
-the oil when it hits the ground is coming out from between the frame and the oil pan

i had the same prob a couple of months ago, oil was leaking like crazy, if that seal on the dipstick is bad oil will spray out especially if your driving highway speeds, the oil pressure is at least 30 psi and thats more than enough to push out some oil. all i did was replace that seal

The turbo drain tube is on the rear of the engine and there were no 850 Turbos in 93.

OP: Did the o-ring get pinched when installed it? Can you see if anything is coming from the small silver hose at the bottom of the oil trap box?

i did that. first thing i did. only thing i have to question is the color of it. the o ring that was there before was orange the replacement was green. after replacing it the problem still persists

is there a special one because i have a dreaded 93. also could i have an older version of the dipstick that got updated. hince why the new o ring isnt working?

its deff not overfilled. checked the dipstick just now and its ~2mm above the low level line. That must have been easily ~.4 quarts it lost just sitting there last night.

and its fresh oil thats spilling out too. its nice and clean =/

New or reused? Statement is ambiguous.
Anyway, I've seen this here couple of times and culprit is strong cleaner (like brake cleaner) sprayed on the block with the elbows on, compromising them.

That is definitely a big hole. A screwed up PCV system will also cause random oil leaks. My car was leaking oil pretty profusely until I changed the PCV system.

fcp fairly new. ~1 year old

fack everything is bolted right back up but i cant put in the stupid fuel line into the fuel rail. that stupid gromet keeps causing enough friction i cant get it back in. ill push so hard the engine will budge. is there a trick im missing?

im done messing with it tonight. everything is plugged back in. i hope the gasket is seated properly as i tried to make sure it sit flush. even though its pretty hard to get it out of alignment. still the only problem i cant solve is how to push that metal fuel hose back into the fuel rail

in the same exact situation as you right now. that hose went bad on me as well. got the kit from FCP groton as well. tyring to figure out who made it since i might order one from eeuro and they have URO listed as the manufacturer.

noticed there was a lot of oil in that area back in maybe early January...havent driven the car much since so im still kinda alright. only difference between you and me is, i didnt put those zip ties in, so mine just became realllllly soft when i went in to inspect it, so i think i have oil just spurting out between the hose and the block because there isnt a good seal...still its pretty frustrating to find it.

EDIT: didnt put any type of cleaner on the rubber or the block where the rubber connected to.

i actually just put in the original piece (im a pack rat cant throw any old part away). i dont know what i was thinking puting in that flimsy piece. the original piece is still very strong and visually it passed any inspection of looking weak or having any cracks.

im just hoping it fixes my oil spewing problem

I have learned this the hard way from having to replace that hose 3 times. DO NOT BUY THE FCP GROTON PCV KIT. IT IS COMPLETE SHIT. URO IS NOT THE OEM SUPPLIER AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REDO IT AS SEEN HERE. I don't know why more people don't listen. There is so much proof, and these arent just random flukes, it happens to everyone.

^^^Agreed, FCP's kits don't last, esp. the rubber connectors. The one I always have problems with from there kit is the one that connects to the seperator and connects to the block. I've used fcp's kit twice now and both times I replaced that with a fitting from the dealer. The first time I used that one it lasted 6months before it dissengrated. The used kit which I bought that was only a few months old already had that piece comprimised, it was all deteriorated, so I went to the dealer and got another one for $5. No clamps needed on it either, it's a pressure fitting.
