Sorry, but those belong on a Mustang, not on a Volvo.

In any case the 17x9 will be too wide for your car, widest you can go without rubbing is probably 8". And, even with adapters, you can't really run a 24 offset wheel without some fender rolling. I think the generally accepted low number for the offset is closer to 30.

Well, even with a 15mm 5x108->5x114.3 adapter, which is the thinnest you can get those made, you're looking at an offset of 9. That obviously won't work. So the Torq-Thrusts you've linked to will not work.

Any wheel you want to run with an adapter has to have a high enough offset number such that even after factoring in the thickness of the adapter, you're still in an acceptable range. For example, Porsche rims generally have offsets in the 50's which is why people have successfully used them on Volvos.

i get that wheels for a rwd are different that for fwd, i'm not saying i want these exact wheels just a similar style and the knowledge of what will and will not work on a 95 855. so higher offset is needed for spacers/adapters?

Guys, you're missing the point here. Yes, we don't like those style wheels, but that shouldn't stop everyone from trying to help him out

thank you! i had browsed tire rack before, the sport edition F7's are about the closest. i really didn't want to do pegs but we don't seem to have many options. i saw a dodge daytona with wheels similar to the torq thrust so i figured i should be able to find something in an appropriate offset, no?

A similar FWD wheel that comes to mind is the TSW Montage.

Posted Image

You will have to have the bolt pattern modified to 108mm, but they have qty 42 of the (TSW MONTAGE 18x80 5/114 ET40 HYPSIL) in stock now. These also come in black if thats your thing.

EDIT: Found chrome ones on ebay HERE which are even closer to the AR wheels.

What it really comes down to is how much work you are going to do to make the wheels work.
You'll need adapters: found here.
And you'll need to do some fender work.

Really not a huge deal, but everyone here usually just puts on OE wheels, so there isn't any work involved.
