I originally purchased this car from my father back in 2005 for $7000 with 57,000 miles. It was not my first Volvo (244 DL I wish I still had), but it introduced me to the world of Volvo.

Here it is in its virgin state.



I drove it as a daily while modifying it until last year when I decided to finally ditch the automatic transmission. Here are a few pictures of it along the way.













4/10/2010 ...

Picked it up from Aaron's (thanks ajhehr) today as it now has a 5-speed M56h from a 02' C70 (thanks Mecay), Quaife ATB LSD (thanks Mogatu'r), KWV2 coilovers (thanks Zaitz), and TT ECU (thanks Adam/turbotuner).

Took some pictures as it got a wash, and its a nice day. Going to leave it like this for a while and play with the TT and possible upgrade to a TD04HL once I get comfortable tuning. I'll probably get a dyno run in a few weeks to see where the tuned map is (saw 15 psi today).

Anyone contemplating doing a 5-speed swap, its the way to go .

Yes, but an R-spoiler is (hopefully) on the way.

KW's are nice. Ride is what you would expect from a coilover system, very responsive.

No, its a toy now. But, I like it so much, if anyone wants to buy my S60 I could DD it as it is so much fun.

It's always better when the project is not a daily driver...so much easier to get things done then.

It'll be really sweet when we get a better tune on it. A few odds and ends to finish up but overall it's about done.

Getting two Grippers instead .., lost my interest in Volvos, trust me IF I could just get a proper tune on the Silver, oh boy... Instead my red is going to get all the attention, and getting a '99 M3 for dd, so dont need the lsd.

I do like the shaved rear, but have always liked the look of the R sedan spoiler and will hopefully put one on soon.

I do have the single bulb european turn signals, but these are jewels behind stock lenses, I will probably put the stock housings with some 4000K HID's and the euro turns for a more "classic" look soon.

For a guy that isn't interested in Volvos, you sure buy a lot of them , and yeah, we need to hit up Fogo with the guys, that would be fun!
