"Which pads should I replace OEM with?"
I just installed EBC greenstuff pads on the FRONT and they are as quiet as OEM. Not a squeek. All I used was CRC anti squeel grease. No shims. I'll let you know if there is a noticable improvement in braking performance after I pass the 300 mile bed in period.
I went with the EBC b/c I heard some good stuff from the forum about them and they were 39.99 from TIRE RACK, compared 89.99 for OEM from dealer.

I had the Greens too, they will start to squeal after a few 100 miles.

All EBC says to to do is drive carefully for the next 300 miles untill the pads are bedded. Which I guess means no heavy braking. I just test drove the car after install and did a few 30-0 slow and easy stops. Everything felt and sounded fine. I'll let you know if there are any changes.

Yeah it seems like there is more good being said about these pads than bad. Most people that I've heard with a noise complaint also say they didn't grease the pads at all. Thats no surprise.
I used to do brake jobs all the time when I worked at Volvo and also later when I worked at Chevrolet and I never had one comeback. So if these pads start maikng noise then I'll know its the pads and not the mechanic.

Edit: Another good note about them, much less dusty compared to OEM pads

They don't take much longer to heat up, but they work they'll pull your hair out on a hard brake!

Thats right, these car's weight so much that Reds don't take long at all to heat up. So far, best pad I have had!

That makes sense. Maybe I'll try the reds next time around.
I don't know much about the porterfield's. Are they supposed to be better than EBC or just another alternative?
Also,
Just curious: Anyone running the EBC rotors too? If so how are they?
Thanks!

Red Stuff would be better but Ferodo DS2500 are the Daddy if you can get them in the US.
