Mike H. Rating: 9 Comments: Although I didn't buy my car there (bought my C70 Coupe at Volvo Irvine), their service department is top notch. they are very courteous and extremely helpful in trying to resolve problems. Although they don't provide loaners, if your car needs to stay for a while, they will provide you with a $25 rental from Hertz (conveniently located in the same building), so basically you get a rental for free. they seem to know their stuff as they always provide explanations of repairs or warranty work when you pick up the car. They only reason I didn't give them a 10 is because sometimes when it gets really busy, they sometimes forget to call you to let you know that your car is ready. Also, the follow-up service rep can be annoying sometimes, constantly calling you. Other than that, two thumbs up from me.

I use their parts dept alot, decently knowledgable, but pricey. Their service dept is pretty good too, they spend an hour on the phone with me trying to figure out if the shift boot/ center panel interface was different on a 5-speed 850R. I'd do business with them again.. I use them when I need the part overnight!

Time for me to provide an update to my initial review. After going to Santa Monica Volvo with my lemoned S60R and getting the replacement V70R from SM, the service dept didn't want to even acknowledge me anymore, so I went back to Calabasas (though it's out of my way). I told them what had happened at SMV and the service advisor Richard Diaz told me that they would take care of me, and they sure have. I had an leaking angle gear on my V70R and Richard mentioned that they could fix it but instead just replacement the whole part as a sign of goodwill. My car has only been to the dealer during service intervals. I highly recommend Richard and Calabasas. Oh yeah, they are moving to a bigger location down the street and it's nice!
2005 V70R - stock for now :)
