I want to remove an exhaust pipe from a slip-fit piece but I can't seem to even budge it, what should I do? Should I get a blow-torch and heat it up? I tried PB Blaster but that didn't work...any ideas?

Thanks

We are talking pieces that have the U-Shaped clamps that hold them together?

If so, check to see if the pipes were bent due to the clamp being too tight. That happened when I was putting on my exhaust tip, and now I can't get that piece of pipe off. I tried using a chisel on it, but still nothing... I just put my tip on and said f*** it.

If the pieces are clamped together, I don't know of any alternatives other then cutting it... Heating it wouldn't help too much, unless it was just barely clamped together. Try it and see what happens.

Good luck

pull really hard, if it is slip fit then it should come right off with enough pulling power, just besure not to rip your exhaust off

Gibbs, PD blaster, etc..., then heat it, then very large channel locks and twist it back and forth to break the rust/seal as you pull it off at the same time.

heated it up with a cutting torch, got leverage on the pipe since they were underneath it and had two people pull on it....and used some type of wrench to grip it...
