I have found a 2000 V70R with 80k miles on it. I unerstand that this year had problems with the ETM but what other problems should I look for?

Check out the ETM, as well as the ABS Module [TRACS and ABS lights will be on, common problem], Angle Gear [failure prone], Driveshaft boot [will make clicking noises if it is ripped, it is located where the driveshaft and the angle gear join] and the transmission. If it's got service records look them over.
If they have been well kept and have had key areas taken care of it should be an awesome car.

You can tell if the throttle body has been replaced by looking at the sticker thats on the front of it. Yellow would be the new one, and white is the original factory one. No way to look at the ABS module to tell. See if you can get a repair history.
