Help, Yesterday no-nothing when starting attempted. Had to have local cornor shop put in new starter. Today, same thing No-nothing. Headlights bright with no dim when starting attempted. Suspecting control voltage to solenoid. Its a '95 850 turbo wagon, automatic; I got a haynes manual schematic in front of me- thats it. I got a hugh basic experience (for what its worth). ..............The Transmition Range Switch; is it in the centerconsole or on the transmition? There's an alarm relay mentioned on the schematic; where is it located? ............Can I jump either or both of these relays/switches out, if faulty and get her running? .............Can I put the ignition key in position II and jump B+ on starter to solenoid (like the old days)? ............In an hour or so-I've got to go back into the Gheto and work on my Volvo with or without useful information because I know she will not survive the night. ..............Please if you got any imput at all; hit me with it, thanks Craig.

The above link will allow you to read and clear your codes, see if you have any especially in the A1 socket, thats where a PNP code would be stored.

The above link is for replacing the PNP if you have to go there. Read the post maybe the ratcheting will help.
