I have an antifreeze smell in the cabin only when the heat is on. Dealer checked it out rec a new reservoir and cap. also the little hose for turbo. I changed all that and hose at the bottom of the reservoir tank. Still smell it. Had a pressure test done no leaks. I thought heater core. any help would be appreciated.

Yup. Very likely. Search around, there is a procedure including pics that is very helpful if you want to DIY. FCPGroton has the core for a LOT less than the dealer.

The only way for you to have the sweet coolant smell in the car is if the heater core or the pipes that come through the fire wall are leaking, that will allow it into the car. Rub your finger on the lower part of your windshield (inside the car) now taste it if it's sweet like coolant, you have a heater core leak.

I had the same problem with my 850 GLT and replaced the cor with the directions provided on this site .I bought my core new on ebay for $119 + $8 to ship .FCP was $149 .If you do it make sure to have somthing on the floor to soak up the anti freeze .It's not a really hard DIY project .Good luck .....Tom
