so im sitting outside the grocery store waiting for my wife to come out and the car is at idle(air off windows open car in park) and all of the sudden rpms drop from 1k to 800-825 rpms and the check engine light comes on and the car returns to 1k rpms.
any of you had these symptoms before? kinda want a general idea before i let my buddy the volvo tech look at it tomorrow.

Have the codes read first....but I have seen a lot of s#ity gas this year and at the end of last year as well....seems like when the prices hike the quality goes down as well?...I'm not crazy in thinking that either, M-Burg is full of mechanics and we do talk among ourselves...what I'm saying is possibly fuel quality? See what the code intails and let us know?

Yeah, pretty much whenever the check engine light comes on, the engine usually drops a couple to few hundred RPMs...as stated above, get the codes read and see what they are.
