Rear Wheel Lug Issue

Ok, so I brought The Volvo in for an inspection on Monday, Turned out I needed new rear pads. I think I still have a couple months left, but per the law they were close enough to the minimum, so I'm not gonna argue they needed to be done anyway. So I tell them I'll do it myself and they give me the reject and tell me to come back after I replace the pads. Last night I'm trying to remove the tires to get the job done, and I couldn't get the lug bolts loose. They must have torqued them down with the air gun or to some rediculously high torque value and I ended up busting a Crossbar and two impact sockets in the process. I was furious. My only concern now is if this extreme torqueing can cause any problems, like stretched lug bolts or warped rotors? I called the place today and complained and they are going to loosen them up and re-torque them to the proper 81ft lbs, but if there is a chance that specific items could have been damaged I want to know so I can check them out and if they need to be replaced, hit the shop up for the cost of replacement.

Also is anyone else experiencing log in issues with the board?

heard of this kind of thing before...yes rotors can easily warp especially from extreme excess torque like you are describing. I hope the place can get them off without snapping the bolts. If they do snap them, that should be a good time...

Actually, the problem isn't too much torque, it's using an air gun, and what happens is without a torque stick on it, you never know what each lug is torqued at, so having unevenly torqued lug nuts, causes a heat dissipation problem and then the warping of the rotor. If you had a torque stick and torqued them to 90 instead of 81 it really wouldn't be a problem, long as they were all the same.
