Thank you........thank you.......

Ok so well uh *cough* I am your new forum leader, no need to bow or kneel in my presence, I am but here to humbly serve and lead you into all RWD Volvo wisdom and knowledge. Seriously though, I am happy to help in any way I can. While I'm fairly new to Volvospeed, I have however had many years of experience owning, repairing, servicing and restoring RWD Volvos.

If you would please, when posting questions, be sure to provide the year and model of the car, and try to include as much detail about the issue as possible wink.gif

The finest cars in the world are RWD - MB, Porsche, Ferrari, and BMW do not make FWD cars! (Not to mention a large number of exotics.)

All race cars are RWD - Formula 1 does pretty good!

FWD is inexpensive and easy to manufacture, and women can drive them.

Now, if I can just get all the electrical connections in the PV clean...

Good deal.

I have my recent 245 acquisition and its a blast to drive. My 850 would melt the fenders off it, but who cares? I have been enjoying sliding around on all the ice and snow we've had out here in CO, and the money I have in this car...well, lets just say its not much.

I used to have a 85 240 back east and IMO having a RWD car in snowy climates teaches you how to really drive in snow. AWD cars are awesome, but 9/10 times the cars off the road around here are AWD/4wd, excessive confidence in snow is usually a recipe for disaster.

Like I said previously, I hope to post more on here and see these forums pick up a lot.

maybe we should do RWD performance and cosmetic all in this forum that would help, since most of the traffic in those forums are for 850 and newer cars

anyways, glad to have you modding this forum, you obviously know your stuff.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your help here at RWD. My black 1992 940T (Monsey,NY) has now been back on the road for quite a while thanks to your responses. The day it breathes its last it'll be AAA+, but until then I'm enjoying the vehicle.
Thanks!!!!!

RWD gives snow drift new meaning.

Ten winters in Michigan after growing up in South Carolina and all I ever drove up there was RWD's. The Corvette was the best except that it sat so low it would bottom out and push the front wheels off the pavement so the steering was gone. You can guess what happened after that.

From then on I drove fullsize Fords and Lincolns. The Volvo is the first thing I've ever enjoyed as much as either a Corvette or a Mark V. And you're right. I saw more 4WD's upside down or piled into things than anything else.
