Man this is addictive. The car is a totally different animal! I can't wait to feel it once I put the down pipe, exhaust, GLT cams, and CAI on!

Anyways, at WOT my stock needle goes right to the end of the white and stays right there all the way to redline. It's my understanding that the end of the white is 15psi. Is that correct?

The BSR Stage 3 is supposed to be 18psi which is why I'm wondering.

No, I don't have my Defi boost gauge hooked up yet. I know the stock gauge is crap but only because it's slow to repsond.

the stock guage is crap because its not calibrated, it just looks pretty. if you have that high dollar boost gauge you might as well install it. i can't believe you would even mess with the boost without having a means of monitoring it. get that thing hooked up ASAP

Aw cmon now cut me some slack. I already did Stage 0.

If you had a BSR chip and you were sitting there staring at it, I doubt anyone could resist popping it in for a little test drive. We're not talking a 19T upgrade or something. It's just a chip not an MBC. I doubt 75% of the people that got in on the ST group buy have a boost gauge.

I'll get the gauge in. I was waiting to figure out how I was going to mount it first...

18psi? You sure? My stage 3 is only 17psi.

You probably need to get a MBC to set it up that high. Jae got a ST 17psi chip and it only builds 15psi.

Good luck.

18psi is what BSR claims.

So it's the 15G wg actuator holding me back? Or the stock BCS?

My guess would be the BCS. Do you also have a larger downpipe? The stock one maybe restricting full boost.

it's the BCS...you can go "whatever" PSI on the 15, but of course you'll risk kaboom....my 17psi spikes about 17 and usually sets at about 14 usually....i need my downpipe and catback to really be able to go crazy and test the psi

I'll know when I go to the dyno. I'm going to do a shootout with the stock T-5R ECU, BSR, Upsolute, and ST.

Should be interesting...

The stock boost guage is suprisingly accurate. I found this when i ran an external one along side.

The end of the white is ~ 1bar/14psi or so. Im running only 12-14psi on mine right now due to insercurities about CA gas (till I get the wideband/knocksense done). Plus, I haven't had a chance to finish up my gauges :*(

12-14? 12 sounds awefully low. The stock T-5R runs almost 11psi, which is 3/4ths of the way on my gauge. Now with the BSR it's at the end, which can't be 12. I
ll buy 14 or 15.

I just need to hook up the Defi and see what the heck is going on.

Your boost will increase by a few pounds once you install the remaining Stage 3 components (downpipe exhaust). That's why you are not seeing the expected boost figures. Good luck!

I have the BSR Stage III ecu, RRFPR, 3" downpipe, 3" race cat, 3" cat back with two mufflers, EST intake and complete stage 0 (except for walbro waiting for install) and I do NOT see past the end of the white.

I was also told that it should be 18psi. But with the stock conical 15g, whats the point of 18psi anyway? Isn't that well outside the range of efficiency?

The only thing I have left to add would be my Atech I/C. I know that will help some, but not *that* much.

my Defi gauges have been waiting patiently for me to install them. I've been putting other stuff in front like trans cooler, axles, hubs and brakes. Soon though...

I've seen the stage III boost 18psi and it will without a manual boost controller if you have the full exhaust and fuel pressure regulator along with proper maintenance
